Announcement: Nothing!
I finished the second draft of THE HONEY WITCH and sent it to two friends whom I trust with everything I have, and I am eager to hear their thoughts. I already have SO many edits and changes that I want to make, but I don't want to start until I get to talk to them about their experience with the book. I am sure they will find a ton of plotholes and messy sentences. Then, edits. More betas. More edits. Then, query review. AND THEN WE WILL BE BACK IN THE QUERY TRENCHES!!!! As the most impatient person on the planet, this is a huge step for me. Taking my time????? Waiting for feedback?????? Who is she????
No news on WTWB, but keep your fingers crossed! I should hear back this month. I will let you in on a secret: a lot of the teasers I've shared from tiktok are either actually from book 2 (because that is where most of the spice is), or they are scenes that I cut from the final draft, but still liked enough to share. I didn't want to share anything that would actually spoil the whole book. However, I do not want people to get their hands on this book and be like "WHERE IS THE TIKTOK SCENE?!?!?!" so I do intend to rework some of them and put them back into book 1. The problem is....I can't really start doing that until I hear back. But I'll get on that soon as well.
So we're just....waiting. Waiting and waiting and waiting. Can't edit HONEY WITCH until I hear back from readers. Can't work on WTWB until I hear back from the full request. Can't start the new Enemies-to-Lovers project because it's for "One Novel One Week" at the end of the month.

And I am about to start THRONE OF THE HORDE KING by Zoey Draven. I'm putting that off because it's the last book in one of my favorite series and I'm heartbroken for it to end. And also, one of my author friends did a giveaway for a physical copy and I WON so she's sending me that, along with one of her signature handmade sexy bookmarks. I am too excited about that.
